Among the many small shops, restaurants, and bars, Dallas' Greenville Avenue is adding a breath of fresh air with Plum Yoga. This new location nestled in the middle of Greenville is more of a triple threat -- a yoga spot, retail shop, and tea room. Recently, Plum Yoga invited me out to try a class and share my thoughts.

Beauty isn't just about makeup and products. After all, there's a reason the saying "Get your beauty sleep" is so popular. To look your best, you have to feel your best. And there's no way to better do that than with complete relaxation and peace. This is what Plum Yoga is all about.

Location, location! This area of Greenville is a favorite. The community jogs, walks, shops, eats, and drinks -- so why not also join together for yoga? There's plenty of parking space and the schedule is convenient for all! Unlike most yoga studios that host classes early in the morning and late in the afternoon, Plum Yoga has convenient times all throughout the day. From 8:30 a.m., noon, 3 p.m., and later, several times are open.

Before checking out Plum Yoga, I had never tried any sort of yoga practice, so as a beginner, the Restorative Stretch + Meditation was recommended. The class instructor (pictured in the slideshow) is Charry Morris, and she is lovely! As a newbie, you want to feel comfortable and welcomed. Walking into Plum Yoga gives you that feeling right away.

Charry didn't just stand in front of the class and shouted out positions at us and did her own thing. No, she makes it clear that she is there for you and only you! Charry helps you get in position, corrects them, and heavily encourages relaxation. I loved the class, and am highly interested in trying out other classes and returning soon.

After your class, there's no rush to leave. Guests are welcomed to sit down and sip some tea and/or shop. Inside the location is a retail shop that is chic and eco-conscious. Plum Yoga supports local artisans and global causes. So if you're looking for something trendy that is sure to give back, check them out!

As for their tea shop -- I loved it so much that plan on getting more into detail with that in another feature.

Right now, Plum Yoga is offering 10 days for $10 so you can visit and get to know the location. You can't beat a price like that!

Plum Yoga is located between Nora and C'Viche on Lowest Greenville. Check them out online and on Facebook.
